TESAMORELIN

GROWTH HORMONE SIGNALING RESEARCH
Tesamorelin is being researched for its effects on natural growth hormone levels, body composition and abdominal fat. Human studies have shown meaningful changes in visceral fat — the deeper fat stored around the organs — while also increasing growth hormone and IGF-1.
WHAT IS TESAMORELIN?
Tesamorelin is a peptide that encourages the body to release more of its own growth hormone. Rather than supplying growth hormone directly, it strengthens one of the natural signals the body already uses to produce it.
Researchers are especially interested in Tesamorelin because growth hormone can influence body composition, fat distribution and the maintenance of lean tissue.
WHAT ARE RESEARCHERS STUDYING?
Growth Hormone
Tesamorelin is being studied for its ability to increase the body's own natural release of growth hormone.
Abdominal Fat
Human research has focused heavily on visceral fat — the deeper abdominal fat stored around the internal organs.
Body Composition
Researchers are studying how increased natural growth hormone may affect the balance between body fat and lean tissue.
IGF-1
Research also looks at IGF-1, another hormone that increases when the body's growth-hormone system becomes more active.
WHAT HAS HUMAN RESEARCH SHOWN?
Tesamorelin has been studied extensively in people, including large randomized clinical trials. One major 26-week study included 412 adults with HIV-associated abdominal fat accumulation and compared tesamorelin with placebo. Researchers found a significant reduction in visceral abdominal fat in the tesamorelin group.

The study also found a substantial increase in IGF-1, supporting the effect tesamorelin had on the body's growth-hormone system.

WHY DOES TESAMORELIN STAND OUT?
Tesamorelin stands out because there is meaningful human research behind it. Studies have looked at how increasing the body's own growth hormone can affect abdominal fat and body composition, with particularly strong interest in visceral fat.
It also works differently from simply providing growth hormone directly — it encourages the body to produce more of its own.
TESAMORELIN IN SIMPLE TERMS
Tesamorelin is being researched because it helps the body release more of its own growth hormone. Researchers are interested in what that can mean for abdominal fat, body composition and maintaining lean tissue.
